Madera Handy Helpers Rock!

The Madera Handy Helpers is an informal group of hands-on volunteers. We focus on projects and events that need physical support at Madera Elementary. Working on a Handy Helpers project is an easy way to make a real, tangible improvement in how Madera Elementary School serves its students, parents, and teachers!

Some of the work we do:

• Set up and take down events run by the PTA and MEF
• Campus improvements
  • Installing backpack hooks outside classrooms
  • Installing cork boards in the hallways
  • Repairing and replacing lunch tables
  • Cleaning and painting projects
• Annual work party fundraiser
• Putting on movies and other audio-visual spectaculars on campus
• Helping teachers with odd jobs in the classroom
• Evening socials for planning
• Campus and garden work parties
